While I knew I needed something more substantial than my Roland Juno DS, I was initially concerned about the costs involved in making such a significant purchase. … More With so many pianos to choose from, I was very fortunate to be assisted by Fred Riley, who approached my budget concerns with empathy and sensitivity. It was clear that he genuinely cared about helping me find the best piano for my needs.
Even though Fred was in the middle of handling the sale of a high-end Bösendorfer concert grand, he took the time to help me with my rental without making me feel like an inconvenience. He worked out a fair and reasonable proposal, and I ended up with exactly what I needed for my studio. The 2022 Yamaha piano is scheduled for delivery early next week, and Fred made sure to accommodate the delivery to fit my schedule.
Additionally, Fred went above and beyond by expertly tuning my friend’s 150-year-old piano. Given the age and delicate nature of the instrument, his attention to detail and precision were all the more impressive. He handled the piano with exceptional care, ensuring every note was finely tuned while respecting the instrument’s history and condition. Despite the challenges posed by the piano’s age, Fred worked diligently to restore its sound, and the improvement was remarkable. I recommend asking for Fred to help you if you ever need to make a future piano purchase or if your piano needs tuning.
All in all, Classic Pianos not only delivers on superior quality pianos but also superior quality customer service. Fred was knowledgeable, warm and patient, giving me the time and space to make the right decision for my situation. His kindness, professionalism and ability to make every customer feel seen and heard—even when busy—left a lasting impression. Thanks to this experience, Classic Pianos Portland will always stand out fondly in my memories.
